ESD enhances innovation. Oasis Primary in Uasin Gishu County soak banana peels after lunch , soak them for 3 days then use the solution for watering our plants to add potassium to the soil, They do this to minimize the use of inorganic fertilizers.
They also use organic pest repeller like onion in our garden to repel fuko or moul, aphids and carrot flies and ontop of this we use ash on our kales as well as the detergent for the pit latrines
#Be warned don’t throw the banana peels directly on the garden as when they rot they attract so many flies as well as pests that can be dangerous to your plants. So if you’re to use them try and soak them first and you’ll get lots of its nutrients as possible.
After harvesting green peas the pod as you can see is used for mulching.
